How birth affects breastfeeding 

 Labor and birth do affect breastfeeding.  This session will discuss common interventions in labor and birth that can affect early breastfeeding experience.  What can you do to avoid these interventions and what can you do to lessen the effects when interventions are necessary.

The Basics of Kefir 

Kefir is a probiotic cultured drink that can be made with milk or water.  Learn the basics of brewing your own.

Ask an RD

Patrice Isabella, a registered dietitian (nutrition expert) will be available to answer questions related to nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, infancy, childhood or any other stage of life!

Expectant Mothers’ Circle

Expectant mothers please join us as we help answer your questions about what to expect during delivery.

New Moms’ Circle

This circle is a great opportunity to get together and talk with other new moms in the area to share helpful tips, brainstorm, gather ideas or just meet some new friends for play dates!

WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor

 Join a few of WIC’s bilingual breastfeeding peer counselors for an open session to help answer breastfeeding questions, address concerns or offer helpful tips. Spanish and English welcome!

Parent child sign language

 Basic introduction to ASL parent child from sign 2 me. This program was created by Dr. Joseph Garcia. Signing with your child can take a lot of the guess work out of baby care and relieve some of the baby’s frustration because of inability to communicate. This is a fun was to learn and interact with your baby through signing, singing, and nursery rhymes.
